Malmö District Court is one of the largest district courts in the country with around 170 employees. Together with other courts in the country, the district court forms the foundation of the judicial system and is a cornerstone of the democratic society.

The core operations of Malmö District Court are organized into four divisions – three divisions handling criminal and civil cases, and a dedicated criminal division. The court also has an administrative department that includes the unit for registration and archives.

We are now looking for at least two court administrators for our unit for registration and archives. One of the positions is a one-year full-time temporary position, with a possibility of extension. The other is a permanent position. For permanent positions, the court applies a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.

Job Description

The unit for registration and archives is responsible for several important functions at the court. Here, all cases of the district court are registered and archived. In addition, we provide service to the public by staffing the court's reception and issuing public documents. The unit also schedules all of the court's detention hearings. The goal of the unit is to create the best possible conditions for the court to handle and resolve cases and matters securely and efficiently, as well as to contribute to public trust in the court. As a court administrator, you are part of the court's administrative hub, and your tasks may span all areas of the unit's work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent education. Relevant post-secondary education is an advantage. You have some current experience in administration or service work. Experience from the public sector is an advantage. Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish are required. As a person, you are enthusiastic, positive, and able to adapt to what the situation requires. You see the big picture and prioritize based on overarching strategies. Since the work is sometimes performed at a high pace, it is important that you can work effectively towards deadlines without compromising quality. Furthermore, you have the ability to share information and contribute to trustworthy collaboration, and to develop your and others' ideas in cooperation. To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means standing up for democratic values and the state values that govern the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
